Test Date
Unlike other entrance tests which specify a particular deadline for tests, GMAT gives you an opportunity to choose your own date to write this exam, as it is conducted round the year. You can take this exam when you think you are ready for it. The study time needed to take GMAT is generally between 6-10 weeks. If you have a demanding job, 10 weeks is accurate. But if you are comfortable giving all your time for this test, 6 weeks will be perfect. So make sure you fix your exam date according to your preparation. It is conducted in all test centers, twice a day from Monday to Friday.
Test Centres
Test Centres for GMAT are located all over the world. You can search for your nearest test centre by logging into official website. Before you decide your test date, make sure you check the availability of test centers. In some test centers you will have to complete the reservation process atleast a month before, if you want to take the test on a specific day.

- GMAT Registration can be done through mail, online, phone or fax also.
- Registration is compulsory so walk-ins are not allowed.
- Candidates can take the exam only once in a month.
- Do not reschedule your exam date. It will cost you few dollars again, and you may not get the date referred by you again as the exam centers will have hundreds of other candidates waiting for reservation.
- Make sure you have a valid I.d proof with you such as passport or Driving License issued by Government when you schedule the test.
- If you cancel the scheduled test date, the fee paid by you won’t be refunded. So fix the schedule only if you are sure to take the test.
- Deadlines of admission differ in different universities. So check the websites of the universities to know the last date of admission so that GMAT exam can be taken prior to the mentioned deadlines.
